2016 Pantone Colour of the Year

For the first time ever, Pantone have decided to name two colours as the Colour of the Year: Rose Quartz and Serenity. The decision to include two colours has come from wanting to convey harmony and equality, with blue and pink representing feminine and masculine respectively. They can feel like unusual colours, but when you look closer, they are colours that appear frequently in sunsets.

“Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”
